An effective business process analysis (BPA) session should serve as the foundation for any tactical or strategic business initiative. One of the biggest downfalls to any systems or business related initiative is an ineffective discovery process. After all, would you build a house without a foundation? Probably not.
RPE's Approach
We have extensive experience in conducting BPA sessions. Our methodology consists of the following phases:
Business Assessment Phase - Defining the overall strategy and objective and reviewing functional and technical processes with key users to formulate an overall understanding.
Business Process Structure Phase - Defining all distinguishing business and functionality requirements. A BPA session will document the current and "to be" business process.
Summary Finding Phase - Compiling and formally documenting all distinguishing user requirements, desired features and functional gaps in a meaningful, useful and actionable document.
Executive Management Phase - Presenting findings to key decision makers and stakeholders.
