RPE 2015 donation supports Free for Life
Land O’ Lakes, Fla. (February 18, 2015) – For the fifth year, RPE has partnered with the Retail Orphan Initiative (RetailROI), a non-profit organization bringing together the retail community to raise awareness and provide real solutions to assist the 400 million vulnerable and orphaned children worldwide. RPE’s 2015 donation will benefit Free for Life, a non-profit organization focused on rescuing and assisting children of human trafficking.
RPE has been a sponsor of RetailROI since the charity was founded in 2010 providing more than $36,000 in support. This year’s donation was part of RPE’s sponsorship of SuperSaturday prior to the National Retail Federation (NRF) Conference and EXPO, where retail executive, vendors and industry leaders gathered to discuss and review industry trends and research while raising funds for RetailROI.
“Five years ago when RetailROI was established, we knew this was a magnificent opportunity for the retail community to come together for a worthy cause,” said Cliff Epstein, president of RPE. “Our efforts have touched the lives of children not only in our home market of Tampa Bay, but around the world.”
Each year, RPE selects an approved non-profit charity supported by RetailROI. Other charities to benefit from RPE’s donations have included 4 Kids Tampa Bay, Share the Blessings, Warm Blankets, Hoops for Hope and Safe Families.
RetailROI (www.RetailROI.org) has three primary goals:
- Bring awareness to the enormous needs of orphans worldwide
- Encourage companies (retailers, vendors, manufacturers) to create programs internally for their companies to help with the need
- Raise funds to help “feet on the street” charities make a real difference
