Cloud Service Provider RPE Outsourcing Completes SOC 1 Examination
Audit of Data Center ensures the highest security controls are in place
Land O’ Lakes, Fla. (February 8, 2017)- RPE Outsourcing, LLC (RPEO), a cloud service provider and systems management and cloud hosting company, announced today that it has completed an SOC 1 (Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 16) Type 2 examination.
“Most companies are leveraging cloud services and the data and programs hosted in the cloud are the life force of an organization,” said Rob Henneke, EVP, RPE. “Companies need to do their homework and entrust this valuable data to a cloud service provider that adheres to the strictest security measures audited in the SOC examination process.”
The completion of the SOC 1 Type 2 examination typifies RPEO’s continued commitment to create and maintain the most stringent controls needed to ensure the highest quality and security of services provided to its customers. RPEO has completed and passed the examination for multiple years.
The examination, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), is the most widely recognized authoritative guidance that provides a uniform method for disclosing independently assessed information about the design and operation of internal controls related to services. Companies that complete an annual SOC 1 examination are able to demonstrate a substantially higher level of assurance and operational visibility than those companies that do not.
The examination was performed by 360 Advanced which provides the Service Auditors’ Report with a detailed description of RPEO’s controls and an independent assessment of whether the controls are placed in operation, suitably designed, and operating effectively.
