As RPE commemorates 20 years of business, we wish to express our thanks and sincere appreciation to our clients, business partners, associates and colleagues. This milestone couldn’t have been reached without the loyalty and hard work of those who support RPE.
Since the company was founded in 1999, we’ve seen more changes in retail than the previous 100 years. The technology retailers use and the way they sell has turned the retail world upside down. Computers are more powerful, communications faster and consumers more demanding. Think about it – 20 years ago there was no such thing as a smart phone. Today that little device plays a major role in the way consumers research and shop.
Our business has also changed. Yes, we still do retail consulting and manage client retail systems. However, we now include areas that didn’t exist 20 years ago including ecommerce, assortment planning and business intelligence. For retail system management, we now must meet the strict requirements of SOC reports, PCI and GDPR. Our marketing has also evolved from printed materials on actual paper to digital advertising, SEO and email.
We suspect the next 20 years will see just as many changes. RPE is well positioned to lead these advances in retail. We have the internal resources to solve tough problems, we’re engaged with respected partners, and we have the deepest commitment to serving our clients who have trusted in us to help them achieve success. They spread the word faster and better than we ever could. Their demands, challenges and feedback have pushed us to become a better company.
We recently made leadership changes to better position RPE for the next 20 years. Our goal is to continue to strengthen the company while adding new partners, services, clients and top-notch associates.
